Aalscholver

De aalscholver (Phalacrocoracidae) is 80 à 100 cm lang en heeft een spanwijdte van 120 tot 150 cm. De broedperiode van de aalscholver begint soms al in december en gaat door tot in juni, hun nest bevat meestal 3–4 eieren. De broedduur loopt van 27 tot 31 dagen, waarna het nog 50 dagen duurt voordat de jongen kunnen vliegen .
